Karen Akyo (6) and Sharon Akyo (4) are sisters living in Usa River, Arusha. They lived with their mother Elizabeth in a tiny mud-hut, without furniture or sanitary instalments. Sleeping on the floor. Their mother Elizabeth suffers from mental disabilities from the time she was born. The three of them lived by the mercy of others. Sometimes Elizabeth can do simple homework, like washing clothes, for the neighbours.  The little food she was given that way was not enough, so Karen and Sharon would often be seen on the streets looking for food.

Thanks to the donations to ZAZA, Sharon is now attending boarding school!

Your Donation will help Sharon go to boarding school for another year, the intermidiate class.  The Maua English Medium School (Maua means Flowers) is one among the Top 5 primary boarding and day schools in Arusha, with high academic performance and care for the children.  Your Donation contributes to pay for Sharon`s school fees, health care insurance, meals, accommodation transport and education, including books and everything a child needs to blossom.
